Ground source heat pump installed in a new build. Providing central heating via underfloor heating also installed by Complete Renewables. This system provides hot water aided by solar thermal panels, again installed by ourselves. Whilst the house was under construction a network of pipes was laid in the garden 1.2 metres below the surface. The house is not on mainline gas and the system replaced used oil, so the cost of heating has been dramatically reduced.
– 6kW Vallaint Ground Source Heat Pump
A Vallaint air source heat pump installed to heat a small outbuilding. Connected to underfloor heating and hot water. This system provides 100% of both heating and hot water requirements. Fully MCS accredited, so a government grant of £850 was received and the system will be eligible for the Renewable Heating Incentive when this launches next year. This uses a combined hot water cylinder and buffer tank as available space was at a premium.
